Color coded lines in dielines contain different information about the processes to be applied in different stages of packaging production. Stages include prepress stages such as adding graphics or making a prototype and post-press states such as cutting and gluing. For example, the red lines are used to indicate 'cuts' and generally define the outer boundaries of the packaging. Overlow lines define the paint overflow area.
