- It is a cardboard box in the form of an open-top rectangular tray / inner divider, formed by folding up its four side walls; it is used as a separator to hold products firmly in place inside the box and prevent them from contacting each other.
- The two large side walls on the long edges and the two small flaps on the short edges fold over the central rectangular base, providing simple and quick assembly; it takes shape as a single piece without requiring any gluing.
- The tabs at the ends of the side walls slot into the inner surface of the adjacent walls and lock at the corners, preserving the tray's form and preventing it from coming apart during transport.
- Since the length, width and height dimensions can be customized, it can be scaled for use as an inner tray or in-box compartmentalization for different products such as chocolate, macarons, cosmetics, gift items or electronic parts.
- Thanks to its flat base and low side walls, it fits easily inside outer packaging boxes; when multiple pieces are used side by side, it creates a modular separator system that divides product groups.
